Set of Four Beech & Ply Stacking Interlocking Chairs by Clive Bacon.

Win­ners of a Design Coun­cil Award in 1963, designed by Clive Bacon for Design Fur­nish­ing Con­tracts Ltd. Made from beech & ply with won­der­ful ​‘jig­saw’ edges to the legs to allow them to be inter­locked. I love the way they’re put togeth­er, with sim­ple joints, and how the bent ply backs slot into the uprights…everything in full view, noth­ing hidden…a nice touch. In good vin­tage con­di­tion, with only minor marks & wear. Frames are all good and sol­id. Height: 75cm (Seat 44cm) Depth: 49cm Width: 51cm Sold as a set of four.
